Imagine that democracy continues for a thousand years – an entire millennium. Do you imagine that, at the end of this period, the world would be any better than it is now? Politics is stuck in a cycle. Each party, emphasizing different policies, merely provides the illusion of change. The true axis along which the world is moving is the enrichment of the super rich. That’s the aim towards which the world is purposed. That’s why no progress is ever made, and year after year, democracy yields no notable results. The rich, being in control of democracy via money, have made sure that it always plays into their desires. Thus, after 1,000 years, the only goal that would be achieved is precisely that.
Democratic politics and predatory, greed-driven capitalism are not separate; they both reinforce one another and play into each other. No politician is ever radical; they don’t have startling new ideas, they don’t have any creative talent. Every one of them operates meekly within the system outlined by money. They almost seem to come from a factory.
Isaac Asimov introduced the Three Laws of Robotics; here are the Three Laws of Politician Robotics:
- A politician may not injure the interests of the super rich or, through inaction, allow the interests of the super rich to come to harm.
- A robot must obey any bribes given it by the super rich except where such bribes would conflict with the First Law.
- A politician must protect its own career as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
The Three Laws are absolutely essential if you want to succeed as a politician. All politicians are in the pocket of the super rich. Why wouldn’t they be? They all come from privileged backgrounds and none of them ever seem to have the remotest idea what’s wrong with the world, despite the fact that the answer is staring them in the face. They’re either improbably stupid or they simply don’t care about the lower classes. Which do you think it is?
All politicians are robots!
Trump Supporters
What Trump supporters don’t seem to realize is that nothing changed throughout all the time he was president the first time around – what’s going to change this time? Exactly how long does a supposed “genius” like Trump need to turn America around? Because it sure as shit didn’t happen in four years! Why be so credulous and gullible about a man who has failed you in the past and yet continues to believe himself better than everyone else??
In an old Tweet (or X post, if you prefer), Trump called himself a humble man, comparing himself to the Pope. Is there anyone on earth more deluded? He displays classic narcissism – never admitting when he’s wrong being a prominent feature of his political career, as well as firing anyone who disagrees with him. If you don’t have Trump fever – i.e., if you don’t believe he is the Second Coming of Christ – then you’re less than garbage to him. He’s forever appealing to all the religious-nutcase, rapture-obsessed conservatives out there who haven’t got a single critical bone in their body. If anyone who’s slightly compelling and dominant comes along, these people are in awe. Actually, that describes most Trump supporters, religious or not. All you have to do is not be anxious and pathetic and these cretins line up for your autograph.
Trump is very similar to North Korean “supreme leader” Kim Jong Un – both have their heads up their own asses and simply cannot take any criticism whatsoever. They are prideful and arrogant, and have extremely sore egos. Is it because they’re afraid they’ll collapse, given the slightest unchallenged provocation? Do they put up so many walls because their core is so weak?
Trump is one of those people who will just crack eventually. He cannot maintain this. He’s worn at the seams, and all the stuffing is about to come out. And even after it does, his supporters will say, “So what?” and pretend that their messiah is simply taking a break.
Make America great? Trump can’t even make himself great! For all his money and business power, he’s every bit the weak, pathological child he was 60 years ago.
First Law
The #1 law of politician robotics: “A politician may not injure the interests of the super rich or, through inaction, allow the interests of the super rich to come to harm.”
The super rich, who created politicians, mandate that they not do anything to harm big business. The super rich must be left alone to do whatever they will (as long as there isn’t a great public outrage). Never regulate against the “fundamental rights” of the rich (which include the right to amass extreme fortunes). Insane greed must not be punished in any aspect. Anti-worker and anti-consumer practices are A-OK. Never question why things are the way they are.
The First Law secures the super rich immunity from … well, the law. You know, the same system that will ensure any out-of-hand behavior on the part of the public gets legislated against?
Second Law
“A robot must obey any bribes given it by the super rich except where such bribes would conflict with the First Law.”
This is simple: do what the super rich say. If they want a law passed, you get it passed. If they want you to turn the other way, you turn the other way. If they want you to oppose a bill, you oppose it. Become an instrument for their use. If you break this law, you will face a nuclear winter of deposits into your Swiss account, so be careful.
Third Law
“A politician must protect its own career as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.”
In order to be an effective instrument for and protector of the super rich, you must take steps to secure your own position. Do whatever you have to, as long as you aren’t harming the super rich in the process. Say whatever you have to, as long as you don’t stir up the rhetoric against the super rich. For the super rich are thy masters, and thou shalt not disobey.
All great changes in the world are achieved with radical thinking. You never make great change by doing exactly what you did before. You must think outside the box to which you have been confined up to now. Forget tradition and conservatism. They can only let you down. If the answer to our problems lay in the past, we’d already be in a utopia. We’re self-evidently not.
In fact, you must not so much think outside the box as smash the box to pieces. Destroy the Old Order and create a New Order. This is the goal of all revolutions. When the French revolutionaries sought to destroy the monarchy, they didn’t do it by playing money games or appealing to the rich and powerful. They held utter contempt for the nobility and the royal family. It was because they acted outside of the system that they were able to achieve anything. Our enemies are ferocious and merciless, so we should strive to be even more so.
Away with them! We’ve had enough super-rich exploitation! They must all be dealt with, one way or another.
H. L. Mencken said, “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
Imaginary “hobgoblins” are everywhere in politics. The thing about real problems is that you have to actually do something about them – including you – so politicians chase imaginary ones, people debate over immaterial issues. Every modern scandal is a specter that we all get outraged over to pretend that we still have values. The emotional cacophony masks our inner emptiness.
Don’t be one of the empty ones. Values are things you fight for. So fight!
“Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under.” – H. L. Mencken
