The Gated Community of Privilege

From the moment you’re born, your fate is already decided. You’re either one of the privileged elite, destined to shape the world regardless of how smart you are, or you’re fated to remain an obscure nobody. You might think that you can transcend your fate and become rich – to be sure, some people from ordinary backgrounds do become rich – but if you think that makes you one of them, you’re deluded. The super rich draw a distinction between “old money” – money that’s inherited and the result of a long dynasty – and “new money” – money that’s self-made. They don’t like welcoming “new money” into their little club. Of course, they’re not talking about the money itself; they’re talking about you.

If you weren’t born into wealth, you’re of a different class, not the upper class. You will never be one of them because your class isn’t ultimately something you can change. Your class results from your background, not any of your achievements. If you’re from the working class, they think you’re stupid and have no breeding. You’re just not the same.

The super rich set themselves apart from ordinary folk. It’s typical of narcissists to believe they are special, and to only keep company with other “special” people. As far as the rich elite go, if you weren’t born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you’re not special – you don’t even deserve to breathe the same air as them, or so they believe. They use their money to acquire objects of prestige and status – often very expensive objects – in an attempt to validate themselves. And it works, too, because even poor people are enthralled by the trappings of wealth!

Any poor person with any self-respect should never worship wealth – or even look up to it. It should be treated with maximum disdain and disrespect. There is absolutely nothing special about you just because you own an expensive watch or a Lamborghini. These are symbols of decadence, not status. The more Lamborghinis you own, the more pathetically desiccated you look. Is there anything real about you? Or is it all fakery, all Lamborghinis and no substance?

The super rich are not real people. They’re constructs attempting to appear human. Humans have empathy – not the rich. Humans feel pain – not the rich. Humans want to help each other – not the rich. The sooner we’re rid of these automatons the better. The more you express the dark triad, the less human you are. Humans are social creatures; there’s nothing social about the dark triad – they are the epitome of everything anti-social.

All three traits in the dark triad – psychopathy, narcissism, and Machiavellianism – all revolve around missing something. They all lack empathy. Psychopaths can’t relate to others or see themselves in others. Narcissists can’t find justification in themselves, so they seek to compensate for the emptiness. Machiavellians can’t perform emotional reasoning and are at a loss to understand others as a result. And if you’ve got the full dark triad, then you’re missing so much of what we call human, you might as well be a different species.

This is what the super rich are like. They aren’t even like us; their reality is alien to us and ours to them. Conspiracy theorists accuse them of being aliens – they might as well be! Instead of love, they have connections. Instead of favors, they have mutual back-scratching. Instead of optimism, they have unjustified self-assurance. Instead of humility, they have … well, nothing. You get the idea. Take any human experience, suck out its soul – and there you have the equivalent experience for super rich people.

Obsessives

It really doesn’t take much to make someone into an obsessive. A lot of people have empty lives and are just itching to encounter something to be obsessed about. The super rich, of course, are obsessed with money. They also know exactly how to make people obsessed with their (junk) products. Just make it shine, make it glossy, make it look cutting edge. People will fall for it – they’ll do it every time. They did it for the Cyber Truck (or whatever it’s called!) because it looked futuristic yet was actually a pile of junk.

To make someone obsessive, you have to give them what they want, but not all of it – never all of it. They should never be fully satisfied. If they are satisfied then they will not come back. Always present them with more than they have. Always withhold just enough to keep them on the hook. This is how many “games” with recurrent spending mechanisms work.

The super rich are always looking to take advantage of obsessives. They welcome obsession and addiction because it happens to bypass our finer powers of discernment. That’s why problem gamblers will never stop gambling on their own, and the casino industry knows that. That obsessive voice is just a little too strong. They know they should stop, yet they go back again and again, getting stripped of their money every time, always believing they’re on the verge of making it big. They never are. The casino industry is one of the most cynical and cruel industries on earth. No sane world would permit it to exist.

The Best of Humanity

The super rich believe they are the best of humanity and therefore deserve to enjoy extreme wealth and to dehumanize everyone else. Not only does being the best not give you any right to do those things, but the super rich are the worst of humanity, not its best. In fact, they’re barely human since they lack empathy for all other humans.

And if you think all this is an exaggeration, consider the long-term actions of these people. They unceasingly do everything they can to thwart the working class, they act in the name of unchecked greed at all times, and they continually plot to manipulate you (just look at advertising). And ask yourself, how could these actions originate with anyone other than narcissistic, Machiavellian psychopaths? It’s time to stop giving them the benefit of the doubt, because they have proven that, when given an inch, they will take a mile, and much more.

If you think the super rich are anything like you, then either you are a psychopath, or you’ve catastrophically misunderstood them. The best of humanity are those who work for the benefit of all humanity, not those who work for their own benefit.

Consider unions. Unions exist to protect the interests of the working class – which are fair pay and fair treatment. In a world where employers didn’t exploit and mistreat their workers, unions wouldn’t be necessary. Not only that, but many employers actively engage in anti-union practices. These companies are poison to any decent job economy and cause their underlings long-term stress, which has been linked to quite a lot of health issues. Do the rich elite care? Absolutely not. They would rather trample your interests and cause you actual health problems (if they can get away with it) than give up a little bit of profit. That should tell you all you need to know about these people’s state of mind.

The Chained Market

If you think the market is free, think again. The market doesn’t exist to be free. It exists to serve the whims of the super rich. They hate free markets. Why? Because free markets mean that at any time, anyone could climb the ladder with a bit of good luck, and also, anyone could fall down and lose their fortune. Vertical mobility is anathema to “old money”. So, what do they do? They do everything to secure themselves unfair and overwhelming advantages. They lobby, they make agreements between themselves, they engage in monopolistic practices. They act to tame and control the market via their extreme wealth. They make the market serve them, just like psychopaths do to everything.

Over and Under

If there exist people with no empathy – dark triad people, particularly psychopaths – then do there also exist people with too much empathy? Yes – they tend to be indecisive, emotional types. Whereas psychopaths want everyone and everything to serve their interests, these “empaths” want to serve others unceasingly, often to the point of self-neglect. It’s the right balance of empathy and self-interest that we should all strive for. A person with no self-interest whatsoever is a doormat and will let people walk all over them forever.

In a world with 50% psychopaths and 50% empaths, who do you think would end up dominating? It wouldn’t be the empaths, that’s for certain! Empaths are the type of people psychopaths find extremely easy to manipulate. After all, if you’re always doing things for others, then you’ll never say no to a charming psycho, will you?

What will defeat psychopaths is a myriad of smart people concerned with their own wellbeing and that of everyone around them. So, if you want to see the super rich gone, then you should seek to become exactly that type of person.
