I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women — I just start kissing them, it’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy.
Donald Trump
Now there’s one man who would fail the marshmallow test.
The marshmallow test goes like this … Give a kid a marshmallow and then explain that if they don’t touch the marshmallow for 15 minutes, they’ll get another one. Then leave them alone in the room for the duration. The dilemma for the kid is between instant gratification and delayed gratification. Would they rather eat the marshmallow right now? It would be delicious! Or would they rather wait in order to double the reward? – which would provide double the deliciousness, but they would have to wait for it!
Which kind of person are you? Do you think waiting or working is worth it for higher gratification? Or would you rather just get something inferior right now? Is waiting too much for you? Is working too hard for you?
Donald Trump is clearly an instant gratification person. He’d rather have what he wants right now than put in some work or even just wait for anything. And he thinks his status as a “star” entitles him to this instant gratification, even when it comes to sexual harassment and sexual assault. He deserves to get what he wants, when he wants it. People let him do it, and in his view, they should.
Now, what kind of person would you say makes a better US president? – the kind that can wait, that can play strategically in order to get the best return; or the kind that can’t wait, that simply must have its whims satisfied right now?
How can anyone rationally justify voting for Donald Trump when he has proven he’s the latter kind? He clearly believes himself above everyone else. He’s clearly used to a life of instant gratification. He’s clearly a hothead and a massive egotist. In what world do those qualities make a good leader?
It’s a noted characteristic of psychopaths that they are impulsive. They don’t think about their actions. They just know what they want and have an absolute focus on getting it. Nothing else ever comes into the picture. They consistently fail the marshmallow test in the real world.
What happens to these impulsive psychopaths when they’re poor? They may become criminals because that’s the only way they can indulge their desires. But when they’re rich, what then? Well, the story is entirely different. They’re validated in their impulsivity because they can always indulge whatever desire may arise without getting punished. The rich automatically have much more scope for impulsive acts than everyone else.
Trump is used to getting what he wants because he’s from a rich family and happens to be a rich man himself. Do you think anyone would have given a shit about Donald Trump if he were born into poverty? And do you think that, if he’d been born into poverty, he could get away with the level of impulsiveness he has? Trump is a product of psychopathy, over-indulgence, and freedom to fulfill impulsive desires.
Yet the people who support Trump seemingly see him as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. How is that? How can such an obviously self-centered man convince the public that he’s on their side? Well, psychopaths are also known to have superficial charm. They seem like perfectly ordinary people – and friendly ones. But they’re not really like that at all. They can look at a person and know exactly what that person wants. This allows them to almost perfectly charm people. Trump has likewise charmed his supporters. He knows exactly what they want, and knows exactly how to make himself look like their supreme benefactor.
Nevermind the fact that, at the end of his previous term in office, virtually nothing had changed in America in terms of the class system. That is of course the thing that dear Donald will never change since he relies on it not only for his wealth but also his entire sense of self-worth. The one thing Trump will never do is fight anybody on a level playing field. He’s incapable. His “strength” comes entirely from his status. He leverages advantage and privilege to win – just like he did when he received millions of dollars from his father in order to start his first business. He just can’t succeed at anything solely on his own merit. If he were completely stripped of his status, he would lose his sense of self – because status is how he defines himself.
If he were stripped of his money, he would no longer be able to “grab ’em by the pussy”. What then? Trump is a total vacuum. He has no soul, no interior. Everything is about his “success” (is it really success if you get a head start to the tune of millions of dollars?), his billionaire status, having legions of followers, getting attractive women, etc. He has no intelligent thoughts or contributions to society. He’s all exterior.
Trump the Extremely Skilled Writer!
Says the guy whose books are ghostwritten and then attributed to him after the fact! Oh, and the word that now says “pore” once said “pour” (he had to delete the first tweet and post it again with the correction)! Also, the word “after” is redundant because the phrase “having written” already signifies it’s in the past. And the adjective “constantly” should be next to the word “pore” since that’s the verb it modifies. This guy has the literary comprehension of a potato.
You can always trust a narcissist to take pride in something they absolutely did not do! He must think that writing books is just like writing tweets! You just write a lot of tweets, then string them together! Fuckwit. He certainly writes like someone who’s never even read a book in his life, let alone written one! Normally, these mistakes wouldn’t really matter, except that they’re indicative of someone who doesn’t know grammar rules, and if you’re praising yourself on your ability to write, you’d damn well better know basic grammar rules!
Ah, every day the words “police” and “cunt” become more and more synonymous.
They don’t, Joe, if you present them in their proper context and don’t bias the data! All political propaganda is biased and will never tell you the full truth. That’s why you must look at it in context and decide for yourself if it’s reasonable. Oh, wait, that’s too much effort, isn’t it?
And to celebrate Labor Day, I’ll post a photo of myself – not doing any labor yet posing as the de facto king of labor! Oh, and I’ll attach it to a screed saying why I should get back in power.
That’s it, Donnie! You certainly know how to celebrate the hard work of others!
These people didn’t get to where they are by showing a healthy concern for other human beings. They got to where they are by relentlessly disregarding human decency in favor of profit. They don’t even want workers; they want slaves, and if they could get away with owning their workers, they would. And this man makes himself out to care about American laborers?? Fuck off!!!!
The thing about dark-triad people is that they will straight up lie to your face, and the contradiction, the hypocrisy, doesn’t bother them at all. It’s a means to an end.
“When I return to the White House, we will continue upon our Successes by creating an Environment that ensures ALL Workers, and Businesses, have the opportunity to prosper and achieve their American Dream.”
The American dream is nothing more than a lure. If everyone really could achieve their American dream under Trump’s presidency, why haven’t they already done it?!?! Why didn’t they do it back in 2016?? Why are so many still destitute, still homeless, still jobless, still working in industries they hate? Where was the American dream? Was it ever actually present? Don’t make appeals to an ideal if you can’t actually deliver on it. Trump has never delivered.
The American dream was always an illusion. Why? Because America was too willing to pander to the super rich elites. It was too willing to make exceptions. You can expect your “hustling” to go absolutely nowhere because the super rich are bent on hoarding wealth.
The American dream is based on the utterly false idea that hard work leads to money. Why would it? Psychopathy is what leads to money. That, and being born into a rich family. America used to have enormous potential. It still does, but it gets less and less likely every year.
Trump is proof that America is utterly idiotic and hasn’t learned anything from its history or its present reality. The world is still in thrall to the super rich and powerful. It always has been. And America has become the grand temple of decadence, of class traitorship, of sucking up to authority. The Brits do it to their king and the Americans do it to their messiah president. Get these toxic people out of the limelight – all they can ever do is poison public discourse.
The Terminator
Aww, Trump’s trying to fake emotion! Except it’s about as unconvincing as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s botched Terminator smile! You know how to tell it’s fake? Because Trump obviously sees this tragedy as nothing but another opportunity to further his campaign. His discussion of the tragedy is upstaged by his political rantings. He saw news of the death of hostages and the fact that it included an american, and he immediately saw a chance to use it as political propaganda. This man has no humanity in him, no ability to actually feel upset or outraged. It’s just another means to his end.
So, he keeps calling her “Comrade Kamala” … It’s actually quite a funny attempt at a smear given that any politically-educated person can tell the difference between socialism and communism. Trump clearly can’t. Not surprising. In constructing a smear, Trump just shows how stupid he is.
Also, before Trump got in the White House in 2016, a lot of people said something along the lines of, “America will never let a moron like Trump in office.” But that still happened, didn’t it?! Beyond all possibility, it happened!
Ah, a tweet that was obviously typed in Microsoft Word (note the “em dash” character which is automatically inserted by word processing applications and isn’t on the regular keyboard). Still not confident enough in your writing skills (6 years after that tweet about books) to write without a spell checker, huh?
Not an Endorsement
Let none of this be taken as an endorsement for Kamala Harris. She’s as fucking stupid as Trump. But Trump is, overall, the greater of two evils, and the more egregious. And by far the most infantile president America has ever had. Yet when it comes to being the loudest and most persuasive voice, he’s going to win.
Let anyone who doubts that Trump is a narcissist look at this tweet.
Reasons to Vote for Trump
The Chump voters have some extremely bizarre reasons for voting for him.
“He has a vision of America I like,” says one.
So, leaders should be chosen on the basis of their “vision”, not their ability or willingness to carry out that vision? Vision is important, sure, but it’s only one part of the puzzle.
What you must grasp about politicians is that they’re professional liars. Their “vision” is only a propaganda tool to convince you to vote in their favor. How many promises actually get fulfilled? How many of them are broken?
Another says, “I feel God is with him. He fears the Lord.”
So, leaders should be chosen on the basis of feelings? Because your feelings can never be wrong, right? Yet you could apply the same principle to people who vote against Trump – aren’t their feelings always right? You can’t both be right! Clearly, feelings don’t count for shit when it comes to how capable or good a president will be. People who vote on the basis of their feelings are complete fucking idiots.
One person called David writing on LinkedIn says:
You can give plenty of other similar reasons, but note that nearly all the arguments against Trump are focused on his character. Trump supporters will argue against some of these criticisms of his character but not all of them. Perhaps you feel that focusing on character is fine because character is critical to being a good leader. But is it really?
Yes, it is! A person’s character directly affects how they see the world, and if that character is perverse then they are going to have a perverse view of the world and a perverse way of relating to it. If, in trying to please his followers, Donald Trump does a few good things, that does not make him an effective politician! He’s still out for himself and his rich buddies – a goal that stands in diametric opposition to the goals of the people.
Claiming that a leader’s character doesn’t matter if he is effective is not an argument because it hinges entirely on your definition of “effectiveness”. If your definition is “he makes life better for me” (which David’s is), then you obviously don’t care about everyone else, thus your argument is not a political one but rather an arbitrary one that panders to you and no one else.
Trump’s character, while bad, is not nearly as bad as he is made out to be
Yeah, he’s only a convicted felon! He’s just a really swell guy underneath it all!
We all know who Trump is. Trump is an egomaniac, a bully, not particularly bright, and has always been focused on personal wealth and fame. He is a loudmouth. He doesn’t have much class. He has thin skin. He is easily distracted and excessively focused on how he is perceived. These things are all true and there is little point arguing over any of them.
But these things while not positive character traits in general are not uncommon in politicians. They don’t necessarily prevent a politician from doing a good job.
If you really believe that, then you must be an extremely nihilistic person who’s prepared to settle for extremely dumb leaders. Only a smart leader can be consistently effective and make decisions with everyone in mind. Only a smart person can comprehend the value and weight of their decisions. Trump does not. And no more does he care.
Here is a quick list of the crimes Trump has been indicted for with accompanying dismissals.
Being a tax cheat – Who cares? We all do it.
No, David. If everyone were a tax cheat like Trump, then the government he’s so eager to get hold of would not be able to exist. Or maybe you didn’t know that taxes exist for a reason and aren’t there just to inconvenience you?
Jan 6th insurrection – Overblown. Not a real insurrection. Some people got out of hand and that wasn’t on him. Suppose he could have done better.
Trump supporters will always find ways to downplay or dismiss his infractions, even when they are inexcusable. No reasonable person could fail to see that Trump incited the conduct that day and he should therefore be held responsible. But he won’t because he does plenty of favors for the super rich. He won’t because he’s a billionaire, and it’s always one rule for the poor, another for the rich.
What he did was not overblown; it represents the greatest possible treachery of the American people, and in any sane world, Trump would have been behind bars long before now. Yet he’s still out there, still being allowed to influence public opinion with his moronic propaganda, still being allowed to run for president after attempting to overturn the results of a lawful election!
Notice, by the way, that David says nothing about Trump’s continual rhetoric that undermines democracy by claiming the 2020 election was rigged – despite Trump not being able to substantiate his claims. Oh, but since it doesn’t directly affect David’s life right this moment, it’s okay!
Georgia election interference – He wasn’t asking them to commit crimes, just investigate further. Other people with bad motives put bad ideas in his head. Not too bright, remember?
Well, if he’s that fucking dumb, then surely, voting for him is an objectively bad idea since any sinister fucker can just put bad ideas in his head???? You cannot justify voting for a stupid president, whatever other justifications you may have. Then again, stupidity breeds stupidity, so it’s no surprise that someone this stupid sees the stupidest presidential candidate and thinks, “Yep, he’s the best man for the job!”
Maybe I forgot a couple and that’s because they have no effect on my actual life
They might have no effect on your life (you seem to have an extremely privileged attitude), but does that mean they affect no one’s life? You’re entitled to be as narrow-minded and self-centered as you want, but you should forfeit your right to vote if your own life is all you care about.
The last one, the document case, is, in my opinion, the most serious and I don’t really believe it can be dismissed easily. It was a serious crime and incredibly irresponsible to take those documents. There is no excuse for obstruction of justice. The best case you can make here is that this was indeed a crime but that we should forgive him for it. They were indeed constantly trying to get Trump. Biden also had documents laying around his garage.
Yes, but Biden didn’t lie about them, pretend he didn’t have more of them after getting raided by the FBI, then try to argue that he had a right to possess them even though he knew full well that he didn’t. It’s ludicrous to compare Trump’s case to Biden’s.
In the end, perhaps no great damage was incurred. (Of course, we can’t be sure of that but let’s hope).
Oh, yes. Let’s just hope, and in the meantime, let’s vote this guy who committed willful felonies into the White House again, huh?!
Here, I can be completely honest in saying that this is hogwash. Yes, I am sure that Trump fantasizes about being a dictator. But that doesn’t really matter.
Tell that to the White House staff who get fired for doing their jobs because Trump loves to fire people and doesn’t want to control his temper. Why don’t you go tell them it doesn’t matter? It would be a very different story if it had happened to you, though, huh, David??
This post just oozes privilege. “I’m alright, Jack.” I’ve got mine, so everyone else can go fuck themselves.
But the biggest reason this is hogwash is that the left is the one trying to take away our freedoms. They want our country to be more like Russia; Soviet Russia that is. Just look at California. That’s the ideal that the American left wants for America and when it gets that, it will just keep going. Disarm Americans. Get them used to letting the government tell them how to live their lives.
Here’s another person who doesn’t understand the difference between socialism and communism. They’re apparently a dime a dozen!
If a socialist government “tells people how to live their lives”, it’s (ideally) doing so in the interests of everyone! But right-wingers treasure their precious bad freedoms (bad in the sense that they can negatively affect others’ lives) so much, they see any attempt at control as an infringement on liberty. They fail to see that when everyone has total freedom, no one has freedom.
What’s most silly of all about this comment is the fact that David doesn’t realize that the world already tells him how to live his life!
Make the white people pay the black people back for what other long-dead white people did to their ancestors while their own were too busy getting oppressed by the British Empire or others in some far off country.
No left-winger says that. They say check your privilege – in other words, when speaking about black people and black issues, maybe let actual black people have the say and admit you’re not nearly as experienced with these issues as they are. Maybe acknowledge you’re not subjected to the cultural and institutionalized racism that they are.
Trump is not going to become a dictator and that whole story is based on nonsense.
If he’s voted into office, but he thinks like a dictator, that doesn’t make him any better than a real one, does it??
So by now, I’ve dismissed the arguments about Trump’s character. I’m not saying that he doesn’t have character flaws. He clearly has plenty. But his flaws are mostly transparent to everyone and relatively harmless compared to the deep and better hidden dishonesty in the other mainstream politicians, particularly those on the sanctimonious and hypocritical left.
Yep, you’ve totally demolished all the character arguments! He’s just a bumbling buffoon, with his silly sexual assaults and threats of nuclear damnation that make us all laugh!! Ha ha! He’s just a harmless clown!
He is too much of a blabbermouth that he couldn’t be part of any dangerous conspiracy.
No, but as you noted earlier, he’s so stupid that people can easily put sinister ideas in his head, so why couldn’t he be the puppet of a dangerous conspiracy? Your position lacks consistency because you’re in ad-hoc defense mode. Maybe think it through before you commit it to the internet.
The final thing I’ll say about character is this. Realize that almost the entire world of media is against Trump.
Maybe that’s because the entire world of media doesn’t have shit for brains (well, they do, but not when it comes to Trump, apparently).
Imagine being a public figure and having dozens of billion dollar media companies and 10s of thousands of independent journalists all working in concert 24/7 to make you look as bad as possible to everyone else.
They don’t work “in concert”. That implies there’s a giant media conspiracy to defame Trump. Besides, all this negative media attention does little but shore up his followers, who somehow believe that it’s all false and the “Fake News” is after him. Not that they ever apply reasoning and check.
Let’s focus less on character and consider what should really be of utmost importance. How will my life be affected directly by the actions and policies of the President?
A remarkably shallow and stupid viewpoint since it necessarily leaves minorities at a disadvantage and therefore doesn’t give them any consideration that’s equal to the mainstream.
David’s words come across as highly privileged and self-centered. He only cares about what affects him, and since Trump hasn’t negatively affected his life in any notable way he can see, therefore Trump must be a good president. One would hope the electorate is smarter than this, but if you think about it, they’re not, and that’s how Trump became a serious candidate to begin with.
Jan 6th was a rough day but it’s in the past and most importantly, it had zero effect on your actual life.
Some day, David will come to understand the symbolic nature of such incidents, realize the way they change people’s thinking, and how they are therefore highly significant. It may not have a direct effect on your life, but if that’s the only criteria you use to assess whether or not something is harmful, then you are ignorant.
He goes on to quote lots of statistics about the economy, which are all cherry-picked:
The economy was strong. Unemployment reached a low of 3.5%; the lowest in a half-century. Median household income grew faster than anytime in 30 years with household income growing by $6,000, 5X more than 8 years under Obama. Overall employment peaked at 160 million. Incomes rose in every single metro area for the first time in 3 decades. The stock market made record highs.
Crude oil production was also increased; he didn’t meet the growth he promised as a candidate and continued to promise as president; at some points, wage gains came only to people who were already high-earners, making wealth disparity worse, not better; accounting for inflation means that these increases in income average people had barely made a difference anyway; deficits didn’t get any better and continued to grow. Also, it’s incorrect to compare wholesale the economy today with the economy in the past. No economy exists in isolation; all nations engage in trade and thus depend on overseas economies as well.
Yes, all these are cherry-picked too, but now you have a more complete picture!
Trump is no war monger. Sure he likes to talk tough but in actuality, he is very hesitant to use American military might especially when it can escalate into a larger war that could actually endanger you or people you know.
Still thinking about yourself, huh? It always comes back to that, doesn’t it?
David’s reason for voting Trump is that, when it comes to his life, personally, he thinks that Trump will be best for him.
So, leaders should be chosen on the basis of how they directly affect each individual person, via a democratic vote where the majority wins? That’s one expression of democracy, sure, but “rule by the majority” automatically leaves all minorities to dry out in the sun and can only lead to simmering resentment which is bound to erupt eventually. It’s also an extremely stupid and incomplete way to look at politics, since your vote doesn’t just affect you.
One commentator said of Trump and his followers, “His legal troubles are all largely insignificant to them because his followers believe they are the symptom of the system trying to get rid of him, his messaging and his base. Of course they’ll “vote for a felon” because Trump’s felonies are a mark of just how scared they are of him and his followers.”
They see Trump as the new persecuted Jesus and the media as the Romans and Pharisees. What they’ll never do is join the dots and think, “Why didn’t Trump get rid of the whole corrupt system – ‘drain the swamp’ – last time?”
Trump benefits from the status quo. He’s a billionaire. He’s not going to change the world in any radical way.
Alright, that’s enough stupidity for one day. The exposure levels are getting unbearable. WARNING: Do NOT go to Trump’s Twitter feed; exposure to such levels of stupid might turn your head inside out if you’re not extremely careful. This is the site of humanity’s intellectual refuse – ensure that if you do choose to explore it, you wear a hard hat and some other PPE.
In a few centuries, the world will look back on this time as a particularly dark one in America’s history. Trump will be forever immortalized, not as America’s savior, but as its pathological manipulator, as the man who simply channeled the insanity that was already present in the people. In the future, people will be sane, rational beings, not so easily swayed by a line of propaganda, but always inquiring, learning, and striving for ever more clarity in the truth.
But until then, FUCK DONALD TRUMP AND EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS HIM!!!!!!
